Erin lives in her hometown of Charlotte, NC where she leads yoga classes and offers 1-on-1 Reiki services. ​

Erin's journey with yoga started as a freshman at Appalachian State University. She has been a practitioner of many forms of yoga for the last 17+ years. In 2025, she felt led to pursue a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. She entered a giveaway for a free training from Y2 Yoga and WON! Taking this as a sign from the universe, she emersed herself in the 3-month training. Y2 Yoga is the leading power yoga studio in Charlotte, NC. She has unending gratitude for all of her instructors and fellow trainees for holding space during this life-changing experience.

 

Craving even more knowledge and immersion in the study of yoga, she quickly signed up for the 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training that followed. To advance her own personal practice, she began an almost daily ashtanga yoga practice in 2025. Ashtanga yoga taught Erin so much about herself. Specifically, how her mental and emotional body has an impact on her physical body, and vice versa. The discipline and rigor of the ashtanga practice inspire and motivate Erin to return to her mat with each practice.​

Erin's journey with Reiki started in 2018. She pursued Reiki as a healing modality to help alleviate symptoms of her Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, a hereditary auto-immune condition impacting the body's energy and metabolism. She was also seeking energetic support as an empath, or one who has a heightened awareness of the energy and emotions of others around her.

 

In 2022 her Reiki Master suggested she consider offering Reiki to others, seeing a gift waiting to be unlocked in Erin's energy. In 2024, Erin was attuned to Level 1 Reiki, which allows a practitioner to offer Reiki to themselves. During this attunement Erin was given the ability to offer Reiki to animals as well. In 2025, Erin was attuned to Level 2 Reiki, which allows a practitioner to offer Reiki to others. Erin's Reiki Master also attuned her to Distant Reiki at this time so Erin could offer Reiki to people she is not physically present with. In 2026, Erin will become a Reiki Master, which allows her to teach other how to become Reiki practitioners.

Outside of teaching yoga and offering Reiki, Erin owns two small businesses. The Patio Farmer is a business Erin started in 2017 to help people grow food at home. She offers 1-on-1 services including Consultations, Installations, Maintenance, and education to support individuals in grow vegetables, fruits, and herbs in any size space they have. Erin's work with The Patio Farmer has been featured on local TV and radio stations. EMH Food Systems Consulting is Erin's other business. Through this firm, ​Erin brings her decade of experience in research, data acquisition and management, data visualization (mapping) and user experience (UX) skillset to design community-led food system projects. She is powered by clear, effective, and thorough communication. Erin has a natural inclination for building strategy and managing projects. Erin shows up authentically to create thoughtful approaches to the work she co-creates with partners. ​Erin holds a Master of Arts from King's College London in Global Ethics & Human Values and Bachelors of Arts from Appalachian State University in Spanish and Global Studies.

 

Beyond pursuing fulfilling work projects, Erin enjoys spending time with her partner, Marshall, playing with their pit-mix Juniper, tending to her 1-acre homestead, practicing yoga, and traveling to new destinations. A fun fact about Erin is that she speaks fluent Spanish and spent a year living in Seville, Spain!
